Delete Your Baro Account
Effective October 18, 2026
Baro is made by Ember Development Studios, LLC. You can delete your Baro account and everything stored with it at any time, in the app or by email. You do not need a subscription to do it.
Delete it in the app
- Open Baro and go to the Profile tab.
- Tap Privacy & Security.
- Optional: tap Export My Data first to keep a copy of your journal.
- Tap Delete Account, then confirm twice.
Your account is deleted straight away, and we email you a confirmation.
No longer have the app?
Email support@emberdevstudios.com from the email address on your Baro account, with “Delete my Baro account” in the subject. We will reply to that address to confirm the request is yours, then delete the account within 7 days of your confirmation and tell you when it is done. If you signed in with Apple and chose Hide My Email, say so in your message and we will help you find the account.
What is deleted
- Your account: email address, password, and the link to your Apple or Google sign-in.
- Your profile and settings, including reminder and alert preferences.
- Your saved areas.
- Your whole journal: every check-in, symptom entry and note, and your tracked and custom symptoms.
- Your Baro Premium status record.
Everything is removed from Baro’s database immediately. Copies in our database provider’s encrypted backups are overwritten within 7 days.
What is kept
- Apple or Google keep their records of your purchases, and RevenueCat keeps its subscription record, which is tied only to a random ID, not your name or email.
- Our email provider keeps delivery logs of the emails we sent you for a limited time.
- We keep the emails you sent our support team as long as we need them for our business records.
Cancel your subscription separately
Deleting your account does not cancel Baro Premium. The subscription is billed by Apple or Google. Cancel it on iPhone in Settings → your name → Subscriptions, or on Android in Google Play → your profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions.
Delete some data and keep your account
- Remove a saved area: Profile → My Locations, then tap the remove button next to the area.
- Remove a custom symptom: Profile → Symptoms, then tap the trash button next to it.
- To delete particular journal entries, email support@emberdevstudios.com from your account’s email address and tell us which dates; we will delete them within 7 days.
